I Never Buy Paper Towels Anymore — I Only Use These “Pretty” Cleaning Wipes (They Save Me So Much Money!)

As a home cook and baker, I am constantly making something in my kitchen. And if you know me, you know this means I’m also constantly making a mess in my kitchen. So, I’m always running through cleaning wipes (and paper towels and cleaning spray) to keep my counters sparkling and germ-free. But it’s not exactly a secret that this isn’t the most eco-friendly way to clean a kitchen. Luckily, I have found a solution that keeps my countertops mess-free without causing so much waste.

For the last couple of months, I’ve been using Biom’s All-Purpose Cleaning Wipes Starter Kit as my go-to cleaning wipes in my kitchen. Not only does it come with a super pretty dispenser you can store your wipes in, but the wipes themselves do a nice job of keeping my counters clean and fresh (and I haven’t even had to add another pack of wipes to the dispenser yet!).

The cleaning wipes I was buying before, I had chosen largely out of convenience. Spoiler: I like them as much, if not more, for the fact that they come in a very chic-looking canister that I can continue to reuse. I also really like the wipes themselves. They don’t dry out in the dispenser (though the top part of the wipe that you pull out of the canister does become a little discolored, but I haven’t found that to really be an issue). But they’re also not dripping, which is an issue I’ve had with previous cleaning wipes I’ve used. I can easily wipe down my counters and get up anything that might’ve become a little dried-on or sticky. Plus, each pack of wipes comes with 50, so I’m not having to constantly refill the dispenser. Not to mention, these wipes work well beyond your kitchen. I haven’t tested it yet, but the brand says you can use them on people and pets, too (so no more sticky fingers and muddy paws!).

Between the gorgeous dispenser, the handy (and fresh-smelling) wipes, and the feeling of doing better for the environment, I truly love my Biom All-Purpose Cleaning Wipes Starter Pack. And now it has me considering where else in my kitchen I can implement some more sustainable habits.
