Beyond Meat Is Rolling Out a New Steak Option, So Dinnertime Just Got a Bit Tastier
Plant-based meat has revolutionized the grocery aisles with meatloaf, meatballs, and burgers all making appearances. Though these alternatives have given vegetarians or those limiting their meat consumption a way to fulfill their crave for flavor, certain options — such as a vegan spin on a pepper steak stir-fry or spicy fajitas — have still been harder to come by. Thankfully, however, Beyond Meat is now making that an issue of the past.
Known for their options like plant-based sausage and ground plant-based meat, Beyond Meat is giving meatless lovers something new to look forward to: a steak version of their beloved “meat.” Aptly named Beyond Steak, the newest product offers a plant-based spin on those sliced steak tips that meat lovers crave when wanting to sear up juicy and tender meat. Whether a plant-based home cook wants to make a vegan recreation of a steak taco or a steak salad, it’s now all possible.
These steak tips are chopped into bite-sized pieces that can be quickly seared in around five minutes in a skillet or thrown in the air fryer. Each serving has 21 grams of protein, is low in saturated fat and has 0 milligrams of cholesterol making it the perfect alternative to the original protein-rich food. So if plant-based meat is your thing, you may just want to start tossing it on top of all your lunchtime salads — or in a burrito. Whatever you want to make of it, the options are truly endless.
Ready to give it a try? You’re in luck because Beyond Steak is rolling out now at Kroger and Walmart stores nationwide, as well as select Albertsons and Ahold divisions and other retailers.
