Sometimes, a free hotel breakfast includes little more than a tray of stale muffins and a stack of sad mini cereal boxes. But many chains seem to be upping their breakfast games, offering all sorts of goodies worth getting out of bed for. Here’s a look at three top-notch (free!) breakfast spreads available across the country.

1. Embassy Suites by Hilton

All hotel guests can take advantage of free cooked-to-order breakfast options, which a spokesperson calls an “approachable, upscale experience.” Among the most popular options: the Greek yogurt and toppings bar and the omelette station. Menus vary by location, but offerings often include fruit, oatmeal, bacon, pastries, and more.

2. Hyatt Place

The free a.m. Kitchen Skillet is exactly what it sounds like: a ton of breakfast offerings, including a bunch of items set out in skillets (sausage links, French toast, eggs, and more). Guests can also usually find some special sandwich options, like the Hyatt Place Signature Sandwich with eggs, applewood smoked bacon, and gouda on a potato roll.

3. Residence Inn by Marriott

The breakfast menu at Residence Inn hotels changes throughout the week, so long-term business travelers don’t have to eat the same stuff every day. Options include the usual (like cereal, eggs, and yogurt) plus a waffle bar (with fun toppings), breakfast burritos, sandwiches, and more.
