Let’s be honest: I didn’t have Bethenny Frankel on my bingo card as 2023’s most influential Instagram host, but I’m certainly not complaining. After packing up her NYC apartment and heading to the suburbs with her 13-year-old daughter, the former Real Housewives of New York star is adjusting nicely. Between her best beauty product reviews and shopping at The Christmas Tree Shop (in real time), she’s also giving us an all-access pass inside her home via Instagram.

While it’s difficult to tell if she’s at her luxurious Hampton home or residing in Connecticut, it doesn’t matter to me. All I care about is her gorgeously designed kitchen. The black and white color palette is inspiringly elegant, from drum light fixtures to marbleized countertops, it’s one perfect addition after another. And if you want to follow her lead, here are seven design ideas to recreate from Bethenny Frankel’s stunning kitchen. Dare I say, every single one of them is at the level

1. Start with a clean slate.

If I had to sum Bethenny’s kitchen up into two words? It’d be classic and timeless, and that’s because from start to finish, her color palette is immaculate — and it all begins with her walls. Instead of entertaining a dark or “trendy” color, she opted for the always-in white; it’s clean and fresh and will never go out of style.

2. Make a statement with grand pendants.

In addition to her white walls, Bethenny has extended her timeless color palette to her accessories. To brighten the space up, she’s enlisted the help of a large black drum pendant above her kitchen countertop. While it’s not obvious what the exact one she chose is, inspired by mid-century modern design, this 22-inch pendant offers versatility in style. You can choose between a one-light and three-light stem. Plus, if the black is too dark, it’s also available in white.

Need something smaller? The Hampton Bay 18-inch pendant has a semi-flush mount that will illuminate your kitchen countertops. The pendant features a black-finished canopy and a black drum-shaped fabric shade, and all it requires is a 60-watt light bulb.

3. Opt for black cabinets.

Of course, having custom-built kitchen cabinets is just a dream for many of us. However, what’s not to love about Bethenny’s innovation? She offers not one but two ways to achieve her current black-and-white color palette. And if you aren’t looking to make a major purchase (or permanent change), you can always paint or cover your cabinets in wallpaper, contact paper, or vinyl wrapping

For a traditional look, mount these black stained cabinets above your stovetop or kitchen appliances. The translucent glass cabinets perfectly duplicate Bethenny’s current cabinets, and the best part? Fully stock the shelves with white coffee mugs and plates, and it’ll be as good as the real deal.

If you have a bit more room, you can enlist the help of this 72-inch kitchen storage cabinet hutch. Each of the three shelves offers customization; adjust or remove them. Either way, the glass door keeps your items safe and sound. Bonus points: You can even store a microwave or stand mixer in there, too.

4. Frame the space with white curtains.

Natural sunlight is great, especially in kitchens, though sometimes you want a little extra privacy or less exposure. In those instances, Bethenny turns to long white curtains. Want to recreate her signature style? Here are two ideas.

Easily control how much sun gets in by reaching for these white curtains. They’re a bit on the shorter side, but they still get the job done. With two panels included and the ability to adjust how high or low they hang, it’s a solid option to recreate Bethenny’s current look. If you’re looking for something a bit longer, this tightly woven basketweave curtain in opaque white will look so impressive paired with a sheer French-Belgian linen panel.

5. Marbleize your countertops.

It appears Bethenny breaks up her white and black color palette with the help of gray marbleized countertops. If you’re not ready for pricey new countertops, you can achieve a similar style with the help of this DIY hack. Get wallpaper (or vinyl wrapping) that’s thick enough to withstand continuous wear and tear, and the water-and-oil-proof feature is a dream. No matter how much liquid spills on it, it’ll remain intact. All that’s left to do is reach for a ruler and scissors, and apply it directly to your surface. For just $22, it’ll look just like Bethenny’s.

6. Use accent plates for an extra touch of elegance.

Bethenny’s accent plates bridge the classic color palette perfectly. In addition to various white porcelain plates, the former RHONY star has a handful of accent ones. Her favorite? None other than Mackenzie-Childs’ black and white enamel dinner plates, which comes as no surprise. Perfect for serving holiday get-togethers or livening up Monday night dinner, this style is ready to purchase in dinner plates, appetizer plates, and even breakfast bowls (to name a few).

7. Stainless steel cookware completes the look.

It’s difficult to serve any meal — let alone have it in style — without quality essentials to make it. Enter: stainless steel pots and pans. They’re not only great for cooking up your favorites, but the steel matches any kitchen’s color scheme. Although Bethenny has never said which pans specifically are “at the level,” I did find one that looks almost, if not, at it.

The Gotham Steel Frying Pan appears identical to the one seen in a recent video. The orange interior and silver exterior are spot-on, and we love that it comes in sizes ranging from 5.5 inches to 14 inches (not to mention the 20-piece set!). Ideal for sautéing vegetables, steaming broccoli, whipping up pancakes, grilling burgers, and more, it’s the non-toxic, durable piece your kitchen needs.

Another pan you should consider: an All-Clad fry pan. Similarly to the one seen to whip up some of her most beloved meals, this version guarantees maximum and even heat conductivity. Plus, the stick-resistant stainless steel cooking surface is effortless to use.
