This $10 Vegetable Peeler Has a Near-Perfect Amazon Rating from More than 8,000 Reviewers
We’ve pointed this out before, but we wanted to say it again: It’s pretty hard to get anything higher than a 4.5-star rating on Amazon. So when something has a near-perfect average, we really listen. Take this $10 vegetable peeler from OXO, for example. It has an average rating of 4.8 and more than 8,300 reviews.

It’s a simple straight swivel peeler (versus a y-peeler, which is actually shaped like a letter Y with the bottom part being the handle and a blade spanning the top) and the twin blades swivel to meet your produce however you’re holding it. It’s got an oversized, cushy handle and a built-in potato eye remover, and it’s dishwasher-safe.
Our favorite peeler on record comes from Kuhn Rikon and is a few bucks cheaper, but it’s hard to ignore the glowing reviews for this OXO version (it helps that OXO is one of our favorite kitchen gadget companies!). Let’s take a look at some of these glowing reviews.
