When I first downloaded TikTok in 2020, the algorithm quickly picked up on a couple of my interests, including jump scares, plants, and easy recipes, to name a few. But lately, my feed is dominated by something else: organizing tips. And I’m not complaining. Some of the most useful changes I’ve made around my house are things I learned from the app.

Here are five of my favorite TikTok organizing hacks right now.

Magnetic Spice Jars

Short on drawer or cabinet real estate, or constantly battling clutter in those spaces? This wildly popular TikTok showcases a clever solution: making use of vertical space by storing spices in magnetic jars on the side of the fridge or even on a magnetic surface on the wall. Just add stick-on magnets to little jars, fill them with your go-to herbs or spices, and you’ll save a ton of space. Plus, you’ll be able to see everything you need at a glance, so you’ll use them more often!

Expandable Bamboo Organizers

You may already use a flatware organizer, but TikTok taught me the right product can be a serious game changer. I love the idea of an expandable bamboo organizer to make use of every inch in a crowded silverware drawer.

Smart Door Storage

Whether you grab an over-the-door shoe organizer or install something sturdier, making the most of the unused space on your door is a yes. This viral TikTok uses The Container Store’s Elfa system, which is great for pantry, bedroom, or even bathroom storage. Bonus: The mesh material is durable and super easy to clean!

Wine Glass Staggering

Even those of us lucky to have tons of cabinet space can appreciate more storage efficiency, and this popular TikTok is one (simple but genius) way to achieve that. You may already know risers can instantly double space when you’re storing dishes, but what about strategically staggering your wine glasses to save room in a crowded cabinet? Either way, you can both fit more in and keep things looking tidy.

Magazine Holders

I absolutely love the idea of using magazine holders to organize your kitchen and bathroom. This video shows a magazine holder full of K-cups, one for cartons of foil and plastic wrap, and some in the bathroom for hair products and hand towels. What can’t a magazine holder do?
