Like most people, I wish that I could get rid of messes in my kitchen (especially the grimy mess inside my oven!) with the push of a button. Unfortunately, it doesn’t really work that way.

I know what you’re thinking: “But Lauren, what are you talking about? Ovens literally has a self-cleaning button.”

Yes, yes it does. But according to my cleaning expert coworkers at Kitchn, that button isn’t actually the best route to take. (See: Why You Should (Almost) Never Use Your Oven’s Self-Cleaning Function.) Instead of pushing that button, we swear by the baking soda & vinegar method, and even crowdsourced a bunch of other ways to clean an oven from you, our readers. Those are all well and good, but dare I say there might be an even easier way?

One that you can Amazon Prime to your house, and one that will help you wipe your problems away?

Amazon customers swear by Easy Off Professional Fume Free Max Oven Cleaner. It’s tough enough to bust baked-on spills and grime: Just spray it and let it work its magic (on a cold oven) for 40 minutes. Then, wipe it all away. For smaller spots, simply wait 30 seconds to take action and the grime will easily surrender to your cleaning cloth. You can also use this stuff on your grill.

The more than 700 four- and five-star Amazon customer reviews say it all.

“I let Easy Off stay on overnight in an oven with two grill racks. Both were ready for the junkyard due to loads of dirt. But Easy Off removed everything. I wouldn’t have believed this if I didn’t see it myself.”

“This stuff is awesome. My oven was setting off our apartment’s smoke detector every time I would preheat it, so I knew it was time to clean it. I have never cleaned an oven before, so I searched Pinterest for tips and I found this product. It works very well.”

“I sprayed it and left it on overnight and had no idea what to expect. I took a paper towel and started wiping out the oven — the grime just melted away.”

Easy Off sounds almost as easy as pressing a button, so I know what cleaning project I’m tackling next.
