Our 5 Favorite New Products from Whole Foods in 2018
Whole Foods is the store to watch if you’re trying to get a handle on the next big food trends. The store employs “local foragers” to scour their regions in search of the best new products, and thus store shelves are stocked with the latest and greatest. They also have killer private-label products, which we always stuff into our carts, fridges, and freezers.
Here is just a small sampling of all the new items that Whole Foods blessed us with this year. We can’t wait to see what 2019 brings.
1. 365 Everyday Value Red Beet Pizza Crust
Cauliflower crust is so yesterday. Whole Foods is leading the charge into tomorrow with a new pizza crust made of beets, which is delightfully red. All in favor of beet-za say AYE.
2. 365 Everyday Value Canned Sparkling Water
This year, Whole Foods started selling a knock-off bubbly water in lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, and “pure” flavors at just 16 cents per can — with the purchase of a 24-pack. After the launch, it debuted a ginger flavor, which went on to be a best-seller. There’s no ginger LaCroix, so take that!
3. 365 Everyday Value Organic Broccoli Slaw
Take our word for it: Broccoli is the veggie to watch in 2019. Whole Foods fans loved this new broccoli slaw pouch this year— so they’re already ahead of the game.
4. 365 Everyday Value AlmondMilk Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert
You can always count on Whole Foods for an alternative version of a fan favorite. For those who have a dairy sensitivity, the retailer came to the rescue this year in the form of 365 Everyday Almondmilk Ice Cream pints. According to Whole Foods, the fan-favorite flavor was the very fancy-sounding Berry Chantilly Cake!
Albiet meatless, this plant-based Beyond Meat sausage is BEYOND. Lest you be unimpressed, let us reiterate the enthusiasm from Whole Foods: “It’s sausage — from plants!” The future is plant-based, people!
