As much as our sister site, Apartment Therapy, specializes in House Tours and room makeovers, we’ve got our fair share of before and afters too. Some are more transformative than others, and some are way more popular than others.

Curious about what our readers are obsessed with? Here are five of our most popular kitchen makeovers of all time.

1. A $700 Kitchen Transformation

2. An Open Floor-Plan Renovation

Jenna, of Jenna Sue Design, knocked down a wall, pulled up carpeting, and totally modernized her once-dated and cramped kitchen and dining spaces to turn them into one clean, spacious light-filled entertaining area.

3. A Makeover with DIY Butcher Block Countertops

When Amanda, of the blog Simply Maggie, updated her space, new cabinets were necessary — but custom-made countertops were out of the budget. So she and her husband made their own stunning versions for about $500 in materials.

4. A To-the-Studs Makeover

A true DIY renovation, Shelly of the blog Minette’s Maze reworked her kitchen by rearranging and painting the cabinets, moving walls, and redoing the floors and countertops to create a brighter, friendlier space. And she did it all on a budget!

5. A Major Kitchen Redo

Baker Michelle of the blog Hummingbird High replaced just about everything to make her dated, dark kitchen fit her baking needs — including rearranging the layout to create a designated baking area and opening up a sunny breakfast nook.
