Best Intentions: When Ingredients Sit on the Shelf
Ever bought something with the best intentions of using it soon, and then…don’t?
The kicker is that I can’t even tell you why. Every time I see that jar of sumac, I get excited again and make a firm resolution to use it soon. Maybe next week. By which time, I become distracted by other recipes and forget about it again.
The solution here is probably to leave this sumac sitting out on the counter instead of stowing it back in the drawer. Just seeing it will kick-start me into using it. Hopefully.
