1. Bob’s Red Mill Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix

All you need to turn this mix into cookies? An egg, water, butter, and 10 to 13 minutes. Just like that, you’ll have a classic that everyone is sure to love. And while well-stocked grocery stores and natural food stores will offer many other Bob’s Red Mill GF products, this cookie mix is usually available in your standard grocery store.

2. King Arthur Gluten-Free Fudge Brownie Mix

The box touts these as “irresistibly rich and fudgy” and — let us confirm — it isn’t a lie. These boxed brownies are delicious! Our tasters didn’t miss the gluten at all. You can also make them non-dairy, by swapping oil for butter.

3. Udi’s Gluten-Free Brownie Mug Cakes Mix

This mug cake is super-easy to make: Add water, stir, and put it in the microwave. Each box contains four pouches so you can serve a few dinner guests, or enjoy them for yourself over the course of a few days.

4. King Arthur Gluten-Free Chocolate Cake Mix

For a company that sells its fair share of (gluten-containing) flours, King Arthur has done a knock-out job in the gluten-free space. This chocolate cake is ridiculous in the best possible way — deeply chocolaty, and moist with just enough airiness.

5. Betty Crocker Gluten-Free Yellow Cake Mix

This is a cake (or cupcake) that adults and kids alike will love. The batter bakes up to a fluffy and sweet confection. Although it’s a yellow cake mix, the final product looked and tasted a bit more like white cake, but that didn’t take away from its deliciousness.

6. Simple Mills Vanilla Cupcake & Cake Baking Mix

Made with almond flour, these cupcakes (or cake) have a nice, toothsome texture, but no nutty flavor. Compared to many other cupcake/cake mixes, this vanilla variety is lower in sugar and delivers a little more fiber.
