The Single Best Thing You Can Get for a Loved One Who’s Obsessed with the Instant Pot

The love people have for the Instant Pot knows no bounds. (We’re pretty sure that’s a hug you’re witnessing in the photo above.) And for anyone who doesn’t already have one, an Instant Pot makes a terrific holiday gift. Think about it: It’s reasonably priced and you can almost certainly find one on sale this time of year, it’s sure to get lots of use, it probably tops your loved one’s wish list already, etc. But what to do if you’re shopping for someone who already has an Instant Pot? The gift you get the person who already has an Instant Pot? The Instant Vortex Plus Air Fryer Oven. It came out earlier this year and we were intrigued right away. In addition to being an air fryer, the Vortex Plus can also broil, bake a cake, and spit-roast a whole chicken in less than 30 minutes.

Of course, we had to try it out (see: I Tried the Instant Pot’s New Air Fryer Vortex Plus — Here’s How It Went). The TLDR version? We loved it. “The air fryer and rotisserie capabilities really shine,” says Associate Food Editor Meghan Splawn, who tested the machine for us. “I’m genuinely so excited to have the Vortex in my kitchen.” Meghan loved it so much that she sent her old air fryer to a friend’s house, so yes, you can buy this for someone who already has an air fryer. Although, if you don’t want to risk it, Instant Pot also recently released a blender (they sure have been busy!), which we also love and consider a great gift.

For efficiency reasons, we are so glad that Instant Pot is expanding into other super-smart, super-useful small appliances. But we also love the idea of a matching Instant Pot suite on a counter. And anyone who hugs their Instant Pot will probably agree.
