The Coolest Advent Calendars You Can Buy for 2019
I went through 35 years of life before I got my first advent calendar (I grew up Jewish!) and, good gosh, do I feel like I’ve been missing out. Because advent calendars are so awesome! You get a little treat or trinket every single day! (Or, if you do advent calendars like I do, you get up to 24 presents all at once!) In an attempt to make up for lost time, I’m going in HARD on advent calendars this year. I’ve been researching them since September and these are the 10 coolest ones I’ve seen.
1. 12 Nights of Wine 2019
I’m obsessed with Aldi’s wine advent calendar, but sadly my local store isn’t allowed to sell wine (silly state laws!). Luckily, this box can be shipped to most states in the U.S. And there are three calendars to pick from: one for those who have been naughty, one for those who have been nice, and a larger option that comes with both boxes. All the boxes include a mix of reds and whites in slim vials that pour out to one glass each.

2. Yawn Coffee Advent Calendar
If you can already tell you’re going to need a bit of a pick-me-up for the holiday season, you’ll love this box of caffeine. It comes with 24 different sachets of ground craft coffee. Each one contains enough for one cup of coffee — just try not to have them all in one week.

3. 24 Days of Tea
More of a tea fan? We’ve got you covered, too. This advent calendar comes with 24 loose-leaf teas and infusions, with two servings per day. You’ll be surprised each day, as the assortment includes classic favorites, web exclusives, bestsellers, and brand new flavors.
Buy: 24 Days of Tea, $40 from DAVIDsTEA
4. 12 Days of Hot Sauce
While we wait for World Market to restock the Bonne Maman advent calendar (which keeps selling out!), I feel as though it’s my duty to point out this advent calendar, which IS in stock. It comes with a dozen three-ounce bottles of hot sauces (think: Sriracha, habanero sauce, a sweet and spicy option, a chipotle bottle, and more). Save some to use on homemade wings during the Super Bowl. Future You will appreciate Christmas You.
Buy: 12 Days of Hot Sauce, $25 at World Market
5. Handcrafted Caramel Advent Calendar
Instead of chocolate, this advent calendar features small-batch caramels from one of my favorite brands, McCrea’s. You never know what you’ll get from day to day because the little doors hide flavors like coffee bean, clove, Hawaiian sea salt, and more.
Buy: Handcrafted Caramel Advent Calendar, $30 at Uncommon Goods
6. Capri Blue 12 Days of Volcano Holiday Gift Set
There are very few scents that work well in the kitchen, and Anthro’s iconic Volcano scent happens to be one of them. Stocked with all sorts of goodies like candles, scented oils, and bath treasures (because home cooks need to treat themselves outside of the kitchen, too!), you definitely get your money’s worth with this set.
Buy: Capri Blue 12 Days of Volcano Holiday Gift Set, $158 at Anthropologie
7. Peppermint Bark Advent Calendar
Williams Sonoma’s Peppermint Bark has a cult-like following these days. Because it’s seasonal, fans are going to want to get as a big of a fill as possible. So why not have an extra little piece each day? Behind each door, you’ll find mini Peppermint Bark Christmas characters (Christmas trees, Santas, toy soldiers, and snowmen!).
Buy: Peppermint Bark Advent Calendar, $30 at Williams Sonoma
8. 24 Tastes of Christmas Advent Calendar
I will eat any gummy candy in sight and step over all the chocolate in my path. If you share the same gummy sweet tooth, you’ll love this Sugarfina advent calendar, which is exclusive to Paper Source. Each little drawer opens up to reveal four pieces of the brand’s iconic gummies and candies.
Buy: 24 Tastes of Christmas Advent Calendar, $40 at Paper Source
9. Godiva Advent Calendar
If you’re gonna get a chocolate advent calendar, it may as well be high-quality chocolate. Enter: this one from Godiva. Inside, you’ll find milk, dark, and white chocolate pieces.
Buy: Godiva Advent Calendar, $30 at Macys
10. Advent Cookie Calendar
Don’t forget your furry friends! I have a dog (Millie!), so I went in search of a super-cute calendar for pups, but you can also definitely find some for cats. This one is almost as cute as she is. Little Millie is going to lose her mind over these cookies.
