There’s nothing like fresh fruit and ice cream during those warm summer days, and a cherry cobbler covered with sweet vanilla ice cream is often as good as dessert gets. While it’s often fun to make that there’s one store-bought brand that knows how to nail the pairing concept without you having to do the work yourself: Ben & Jerry’s.

The popular brand known for their delicious flavors definitely knows a few things about mixing cherries with ice cream. Their Cherry Garcia flavor has been among the most popular for decades. So, when I found out that they were making magic with that combo again, it was hard not to get excited.

The new Ben & Jerry’s limited edition Cherry Crumble ice cream is inspired by seasonal fruit crisps, crumbles, and cobblers, with a  buttery ice cream base and a mix of Bing cherries and oat crumbles blended in.

Tart fruit crumbles mixed with rich, creamy ice cream have always been a match made in heaven in my opinion, so why not combine them? “We were inspired by spring, fresh fruit and the memory of taking a fresh cherry crumble out of the oven,” said Flavor Guru Colleen Rossell, Cherry Crumble’s creator, in a press release. “With so many caramels, chocolates, and peanut butter flavors available — this is a refreshing choice with the right amount of sweetness, fruit, and rich indulgence. It’s the perfect balance!”

Cherry Crumble is currently available at retailers nationwide as a Limited Batch flavor at a suggested retail price of $5.49. But as this is a limited edition, you may want to make sure you get your pint in the freezer for summer before it’s gone.

This is indeed some *cherry* exciting news. (Couldn’t resist going there.)
