Ben & Jerry’s has a brand new ice cream flavor, and it’s big news for Phish Food fans. The Vermont-based ice cream company has made no apologies for its love of Phish over the years (rumor has it the company even gives employees the day off for local Phish shows) and even honored the band with its own ice cream flavor back in 1997. Thanks to its loyal fan following, the flavor quickly became one of Ben & Jerry’s

most popular

Now, according to a recent press release from the ice cream company, there’s a new Phish flavor in town — but finding a pint might be difficult.

Known for its cult-like following, Phish consistently draws huge crowds, and fans come hungry for tasty jams. Now the band is serving up a massive 13-night show run at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Affectionately dubbed “The Baker’s Dozen,” the MSG tour promises to be epic, and the folks at B&J have made a creamy treat to go alongside it: Freezer Reprise.

To commemorate the Baker’s Dozen and celebrate 20 years of partnership with the band, Ben & Jerry’s created a very limited batch of a new Phish-themed ice cream. Made with sweet cream ice cream with a vanilla glaze and a chocolate donut swirl, the donut-themed flavor is basically a justification to eat ice cream for breakfast. And let’s not forget those iconic fudge fish from the Phish Food recipe, either! They make their appearance as well in Freezer Reprise.

The flavor sounds like just what we need to make it through this particularly hot summer, but there’s a catch. Thanks to Ben & Jerry’s twisted sense of humor, this limited-release flavor is not coming anywhere near store shelves; it will only be available for one night during the Baker’s Dozen event. Fans can taste the flavor at the Baker’s Dozen kickoff on July 21, or stop by the Pennsy for a free tasting before the event at from 4 to 8 p.m.
