About my kitchen reveal:
The house was built in '99 and needed a newer fresher look. We had formica counter tops and all white appliances. We kept our cherry cabinets to save some money but added a 14-gauge stainless steel counter and backsplash with integrated deep sink. New facet with hot water maker. Granite on island and bar. In the attached nook area we added wall hung open cabinets for a beverage bar and snack area (the top will be granite that's not on yet). All new lighting. All new appliances. Took out electric cooktop and added a Dacor gas top with 2 Dacor wall ovens.

My best tip for a successful kitchen makeover::
Be patient.
My favorite meal to cook in my kitchen::
Everything--really. I was never a good cook as my family can attest. When my daughter enrolled and was accepted to the Culinary Inst. of America they asked her on the application of any fond memories of cooking she had with her family (mom, grandmother, father ext.) Needless to say she had a tough time answering that question. Now I cook everything and I know the kitchen design has a lot to do with that.
