Before & After: Denise’s New Old World Kitchen for Entertaining
While there were plenty of good things about Denise’s kitchen before — lots of cabinet and counter space, a double oven — it felt outdated and wasn’t the best layout for her cooking and entertaining style. Thanks to a complete remodel, Denise now has a kitchen that she loves to cook and entertain in. Take a look at the after.
When we first saw this kitchen remodel as part of our before and after contest The Big Reveal, Denise described it as an “Old World renovation.” We couldn’t agree more. The cabinet style and the 11-foot quartzite island counter really do make this feel like an old-world kitchen.
Denise reports that she spends much more time entertaining now that she has the kitchen of her dreams. And that her kids are more excited to spend time helping prepare family meals in the new space!
Our favorite part of the remodel is the exposed brick wall that Denise installed behind her range. We see a lot of subway tile here at The Kitchn, so it’s refreshing to see something that has the same geometry, but has a much different effect.
