When we recently spotted this DIY kitchen renovation by Ashley, the blogger behind Cherished Bliss, on Hometalk, we couldn’t believe our eyes. The room underwent a dramatic transformation, thanks to a DIY cabinet upgrade that saved Ashley and her family a lot of money. Take a look at Ashley’s farmhouse kitchen makeover.

What an update! We love how bright and cheerful this kitchen is now. And the cabinet makeover is a big part of it. The layout of the kitchen was already well suited to Ashley and her family’s needs, so it was just a cosmetic update.

But simply painting the cabinets white wouldn’t quite give them the look they were hoping for. To get that farmhouse look, Ashley and her husband added border panels to the cabinet doors and updated the hardware.
