For some, the return of fall means the return of a favorite beverage. No, I’m not talking about the Pumpkin Spice Latte — I’m talking about pumpkin beer. If you want to celebrate the season and put that pumpkin beer to good use, make a batch of this beer-braised chicken pot pie.

The best part about this recipe is that you can make it all in one oven-safe pot. You start on the stovetop, where you braise the chicken with onion, peppers, andouille sausage, spices, and pumpkin beer. Then you make the biscuits, which feature honey, cheddar, and more pumpkin beer. You drop the biscuit dough on top of the braised chicken and then bake until the biscuits are golden-brown.

Bring the whole dish straight from the oven to the table and let guests dig in. Paired with a simple side salad, this is comfort food at its finest.
