This Hidden Section of Bed Bath & Beyond Is a Game-Changer for Small-Space Dwellers
So we’ve got a tiny secret to spill — the kind of secret that isn’t monumentally huge, but one that you could tuck it away into a square-foot-limited apartment. We’re just going to get right to the point: Bed Bath & Beyond has a little-known section of their website that is exclusively devoted to small spaces.
Folks with less square footage generally learn to view everything with an eagle eye toward function. Having been in that position before myself, I know what it’s like to quickly scan item after item — whether we’re talking tables, chairs, or even shelves and closet storage — and to immediately rule almost everything out because I just can’t fit anything other than the most intentional (and slender) items in my home.
Thankfully, more and more retailers are catering to the particular problems faced by those in small spaces—from Pottery Barn‘s IKEA (of course), and now Bed Bath & Beyond.
You can check out the full selection on their website. Meanwhile, here are some of our favorite picks:
1. Velvet Upholstered Bar Chairs, $368 for two
The biggest problem you’re going to have with these chairs is whether you should choose blue or green. The brassy metal legs perfectly contrast the soft and inviting texture of the velvet.
2. Metal Round Bar Cart, $127
This glam bar cart is small enough to fit into an extra cozy NYC apartment, but still provides all the room you need for various cart functions, all while looking classy and cool. It also might just work perfectly as a perch for your Instant Pot.
3. Metal And Wood Bar Cart, $274
Alternately, this bar cart that mixes metal and wood offers a more industrial vibe and would be able to stand flat against a wall to enhance space utilization.
4. Stainless Steel And Wood Apartment Cart, from $150
I know, I know — they have a lot of great carts! This one offers more space and storage than a traditional bar cart. Use it for whatever you need in your home — even an extra place to prepare food in the kitchen. The mint shade is especially nice looking next to the stainless steep top.
5. Entangled Arm Chairs, from $96
These funky chairs are just creative enough to be conversation starters, but without dominating the space.
