The kitchen of Beatrice and Ramsey is quite different than what I typically share and that's exactly why I was drawn to it. Not every kitchen is characterized by subway tile and butcher block counters. Sometimes it's fun and refreshing to think outside the box, much like this family has.
The kitchen is filled with color, texture and certainly a plethora of creativity and personality — exactly as they planned. Everything is out in the open and within an arms reach, there was no need to have everything hidden away (this is apparent in the design of the rest of the house).
The open shelving makes the space look larger but it also displays the pieces of art the couple has either made or collected over the years. The countertops and painted backsplash add so much interest to the space along with a punch of color. No matter how many different colors and textures come into play, they all work so well in this space and create a comfortable and cultured vibe.
