I Tried the Banana Pudding Cheesecake Ice Cream Recipe Everyone Is Obsessed With, and It’s a Close Call to Perfection

Banana pudding is one of my favorite desserts to enjoy. Whether homemade or purchased from a restaurant or store, it’s safe to say anything banana pudding-related (from ice cream to cupcakes) won’t be turned down by me. So you can only imagine the excitement I had when I came across this viral banana pudding cheesecake ice cream by content creator @cordandthekitchen on Instagram. 

The video has garnered more than 2 million views, and once I saw it I knew I had to make this seemingly simple dessert at home. The best part? It uses minimal ingredients, but produces an overflow of ice cream.

How to Make Banana Pudding Cheesecake Ice Cream

In a large mixing bowl, pour in condensed milk and add a pinch of kosher salt. Next, pour in vanilla extract and mix well with a whisk until evenly blended. In a separate bowl, add in heavy whipping cream, light brown sugar, nutmeg, and cinnamon before blending together. 

After adding all of your blended ingredients together in one mixing bowl, add in the Philadelphia cheesecake-flavored cream cheese, diced bananas, crushed Nilla wafers, and Chessmen cookies, folding them all into your mixture, evenly blending together. Transfer to a storage container, drizzle your caramel atop, and place in the freezer for 5 hours. Remove when you’re ready and enjoy!

My Honest Review of Banana Pudding Cheesecake Ice Cream 

This recipe was nothing short of delicious! From its simplicity to enjoying the results of the final product, this — hands-down — has become one of my favorite desserts. Mixing together three of my favorite treats, I couldn’t have imagined it not being delicious, but the results really blew me away. I will definitely place this recipe under my belt and whip it out during the next social or holiday gathering with family and friends. Overall, it gets a smooth 9.5 out of 10 from me.

With this recipe being so amazing, I’m also looking forward to making it again in the near future. Next time, though, I’ll be doing it with a slight twist by making it strawberry cheesecake-flavored. 

2 Tips for Making Banana Pudding Cheesecake Ice Cream

  • Add more cookie crumbles or bananas. If after you’ve pulled your ice cream from the freezer you still feel like you need a little extra, top your scoops with more cookie crumbles, bananas, or caramel. The world is yours!
  • Test out other flavor combinations. This recipe seems to be easily customizable, so try out other flavors, too. While Philadelphia also has the Strawberry Cheesecake Crumble and Cherry Cheesecake Crumble flavors that you can use instead of the Original, you can also get creative and opt for anything that comes to mind.
