I Finally Found a Dish Rack That Looks Chic on My Counter — And It’s Only $20
I don’t know about you, but I hate towel-drying my dishes. It feels less sanitary and takes up so much precious time — I’d much rather air-dry all those glasses and plates and put them away later, and I deserve a little break after washing all those dishes by hand anyway. That said, my utter disdain for towel-drying led me to scour through Amazon’s seemingly infinite offerings until I found my (now) holy grail kitchen accessory: this sleek, space-saving bamboo dish-drying rack.
I recently moved and have been trying to stick to a minimalistic, bright, and chic decor style, so you can only imagine my excitement when I saw how well this pretty, practical rack fit in with the rest of my kitchen aesthetic. Oh, and did I mention it’s a budget-friendly find at only $20?
Why bamboo? So glad you asked. First of all, it’s super easy to maintain. Much like other bamboo products, all you have to do is wipe it down with mineral oil from time to time to keep it in top-notch shape. Secondly, it’s water-resistant, odor-resistant, and sustainable to boot. You know how plastic cups, dishes, and racks sometimes start smelling a little funky over time? Not around here! I’ve had this rack for a little over a year and have used it daily, and it still looks (and smells) like it did when I took it out of its box.
Why I Love the Bambüsi Bamboo Dish Drying Rack
My favorite part about this two-tiered number is that it basically doubles as decor. Bulky plastic dish racks, who? Of course, the runner-up is that it doesn’t get moldy or funky. I’ve had bamboo products in the past that ended up looking pretty gnarly after a while, but this one has remained pristine with minimal care (and lots of use).
Another bonus: It’s collapsible! Once you’re done using it, or if you’re hosting and want to maximize counter space, simply fold up the rack and tuck it away. It’s also surprisingly spacious with 14 generously sized slats and two shelves, which can easily hold a day’s worth of dishes, including hefty pots and pans.
