Could you imagine a day where you sit around for eight hours eating bacon? That alone sounds pretty freaking awesome, right? Well, add a hefty $1,000 dollar reward to the mix, and it’s literally a dream come true.

Except here, it’s no dream but an actual reality — well, for one lucky winner. Farmer Boys, a restaurant chain on the West Coast with 90 locations in California and Nevada, is seeking one special intern to spend just one eight-hour workday tasting their old and new menu items. You’ll be rating all items on taste, bacon-ness, texture, and other factors.

So, for one day of your life, you’ll be hired to taste bacon all day long (now that’s a reason to call in sick to work!). And FYI — after that one long but glorious day, if you’re interested in going back to the restaurant, they do offer breakfast all day long. 

Farmer Boys Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Larry Rusinko said in a press release, “At Farmer Boys, we’re firm believers in customer feedback and listening to our guests, and we felt that hiring our first ever Bacon Intern would add another layer to that philosophy and help make our food as pork-tacular as it can be.”

The restaurant made the announcement on Instagram, which is the platform where you can apply as the Farmer Boys’ Bacon Intern. 

Here’s how to apply: You’ll need to post a photo or video on your personal Instagram page and share why you would be the best Bacon Intern for Farmer Boys’ restaurant. You’d also tag @FarmerBoysFood and use #FarmerBoysBaconIntern in the caption. Yet act fast, as the deadline is August 20. There is one caveat: you must be 18 years old or older to be considered. And it’s in South California, so you’ll need to make the commute yourself. 

They’ll announce the winner and lucky new bacon intern on August 27. So, now’s the time to get creative and work on those photos, videos, and pitches! Just imagine the rewards — bacon, bacon, and more damn bacon.
