Last week everyone was oohing and aahing over the Raspbaby Yoda pie. It’s a totally gorgeous and deeply intricate pie, but I’m going to guess that most normal bakers wouldn’t be able to make something like that themselves. But Baby Yoda fans shouldn’t despair, because Redditor Katy Atakturk has created a quick, easy, totally accessible backing hack to get you your very own Baby Yoda cookies — no intricate decorating experience necessary.

All you need to get started on your batch of Baby Yoda cookies is a standard cookie cutter in the shape of an angel. Then, if you’re crafty, you can cut and re-shape the angel to remove the head from the cutter itself. Or you could simply cut off all the heads of the angel cookies before decorating. Either way, the headless angels turn out to be exactly the right shape to create Baby Yoda.

After baking and cutting off the heads, it’s time to decorate. You use royal icing to outline the torso in green, to be Baby Yoda’s head, with the wings acting as the adorable ears. Then you’ll want to outline a white stripe to be his little scarf, and finally brown for the rest of it as his coat. Royal icing requires a little bit of practice (there are tricks, don’t go in blind). Add a few black nonpareils (sugar pearls) as eyes, and you’re all set.

And if one of the year’s most iconic characters isn’t enough for your Christmas cookie decorating, check out this guy on Twitter, who has made not only the Baby Yoda cookies, but also decorated ornament cookies to be the world’s best mascot, Gritty.

Who wants regular cookies when you could have these cookies, right?
