About Me
Aaniin, Boozhoo! Sierra Clark is an Anishinaabek Odawa who resides on her ancestral homelands with her partner and two children on the shores of Traverse City, Michigan. After she graduated from Western Michigan University in 2019 a degree in Freshwater Science and Sustainability- she became a journalist in June 2020 when she joined the Mishigamiing Journalism Project- a collaboration between The Traverse City Record Eagle and Indigenizing the News. Through her work, she focuses on uplifting Indigneous stories through reporting and facilitating collaborations with other news sources to bring Indigenous representation in news media throughout Mishigamiing (Michigan).
