Joy Cho

Joy Cho is a freelance writer, recipe developer, and recipe tester based in New York City. After attending pastry school in the evenings while working an office job during the day, she made the jump to pursue food as a full-time career and hasn't looked back since. Having worked in NYC restaurants and run an Instagram microbakery selling her Gem Cakes (which were featured in the New York Times), she now splits her time between writing, developing, cross-testing, and assisting on editorial and video shoots (no boring weeks around here!). Joy's work has appeared on Eater, Food52, Food Network, Bon Appétit, and Simply Recipes. Though her sweet tooth doesn't discriminate, she has a special spot in her heart for black forest cake, tiramisu, and chocolate-almond croissants.
