About Me

Jen is an urban and cultural geographer, and her previous research interests included public libraries, the retail industry, and festivals. Her PhD examined the relationship between local governments, citizens, and public libraries. She is originally from Sydney, Australia but moved to California four years ago to marry her husband. These days, she spends most of her time chasing after a toddler who doesn’t care in the slightest that Mummy used to have a life before her and only cares about when her next meal is. For Jen, food is both an academic interest and mild obsession. She also writes about books at Book Riot and Baby Librarians.
