The truth remains that a diet mostly free of grains, dairy, and sugar makes me feel my best. When I switched to a Paleo lifestyle, I never anticipated that I’d find a greater groove in my cooking. The Water-Infused Brand of Fruit I’m Obsessed With
Dried fruit is an actual obsession of mine. I’m one of those annoying people who eats fruit for dessert. It’s not that I don’t love chocolate or cake — I do, very much so — but I try to keep the added sugar low these days, and dried fruit is my raging sweet tooth’s saving grace. I’m also extraordinarily picky, especially with food, and most dried fruit has added sugar and/or the texture of a tire. This puts me in a predicament.

My health is my greatest priority. Putting in the effort to cook my meals, exercise, meditate, practice self-care, and reduce stress is not always easy, but it’s always worth it. Feeling great has created spillover in all facets of my life, and now that I’ve felt the vibrancy I experience daily because of my health, any other way of living isn’t an option. I believe cooking is the ultimate act of self-care.
