Akua Kyerematen Nettey

Akua Kyerematen Nettey is the founder of Berry Bissap and an avid home cook who loves all things food, bev, and culinary. She grew up in a home with parents who are immigrants from Ghana and was taught early on to be proud of her roots and to share and educate others through food. Her passion and calling is to share authentic West African foods, beverages, and ingredients with the world and to connect indigenous West African cuisines to the diaspora, especially in the Caribbean and Latin America.

The palm nut soup includes marinated meats and smoked dried fish and is often served with fufu, omo tuo, banku, fonio, or rice.
