You may have heard of Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix. Does the shocking #Scandoval between her and ex Tom Sandoval that practically broke the internet sound familiar? Well, we’re here to say that her kitchen is even more newsworthy. Despite the explosive three-part reunion that verified that Sandoval had an affair with Madix’s former best friend, Madix still shares one important asset with her ex: the modern farmhouse in the San Fernando Valley the former couple purchased together for nearly $2.2 million.

In 2019, the former duo worked with interior designers Lucinda Pace and Andrew Pancer of Concept XL, while Elizabeth Montgomery elevated the exterior. Among the five bedrooms and five bathrooms, the sprawling backyard has a custom-made, built-in grilling station that puts even the best grills to shame. Check out the full house tour by Bravo here

Of course, both sides have confirmed a move is inevitable (and imminent), but until that happens? We’ll continue to swoon over their kitchen; the open-concept design provides a fresh backdrop that separates the space from their otherwise eclectic aesthetic. The 10-foot ceilings illuminate the space with natural light, and the white-marbled breakfast table is the definition of timeless. It’s one dreamy detail after another, and while some of these items are custom-made, not everything is; meaning, if you want to add a touch of this modern-farmhouse kitchen to your space, you absolutely can.

Here are six design ideas from Ariana Madix’s stunning kitchen, and how you can recreate them in your home.

1. Get creative with lighting.

The 10-foot ceilings brighten the space, but the former couple didn’t stop there. The two also upgraded the lackluster light fixtures the home came with. In its place, they went for a giant Sputnik chandelier like this one to brighten up their kitchen’s oval table. The six-bulb fixture has no visible wiring, and you can easily adjust the height to accommodate your specific space.

Additionally, the former couple opted for two large white and gold cones over their marbled table. This oversized drum pendant is identical to theirs, plus it’s (likely) far more affordable.

2. Go green

Take a play out of her décor handbook and bring California to you with this artificial plant. The silky-smooth leaves mimic a real palm tree, and the five-foot height makes it great for filling an empty corner or shelf. Our favorite part? It’s not real, so it requires absolutely no maintenance.

The Vanderpump starlet also has a split painting of two leaves hung directly behind her marbled island. Follow her lead with this set-of-three botanical leaves art prints. While she opts for two, we like the versatility this version has; not only can you customize it to your liking, but you can also print them from home. Frame each art piece in the same color frame, or mix and match. Either way, it will add a pop of color that will leave visitors green with envy.

3. Create a common area.

While the 37-year-old’s kitchen features a large marble-topped center island and a farmhouse sink with a dishwasher, there are definitely ways to replicate it. We recommend investing in a smaller, more toned-down island like this one. The smaller size still generates the same effect as hers, and the melamine material is an excellent alternative to high-priced marble. More favorably, you can easily install this version by mounting it to your floor.

After you’ve mounted it, you can add contrast by painting the base of the marble a medium-tone gray. This Rust-Oleum paint in Kensington Gray is the best dupe we could find.

4. Don’t forget to accessorize.

Previously, the ex-pair told People that their gray-and-gold chairs (pictured in the social post at the top) are from Bend Goods. While those are probably outside our budget, we can offer an equally appealing alternative.

These wind-back chairs come in a set of four and will easily fit around an island or kitchen table. The gray curved backside comes in an ultra-luxe velvet material and has a high-elasticity foam that’s comfortable and supportive. Above all, the gold metal legs are sturdy and durable, seat up to 250 pounds, and easily screw into the bottoms.

5. Opt for milk-white walls.

Ariana has previously mentioned on the show that her taste is “serene and tranquil.” For the same aesthetic, breathe new life into your walls with this milk-white paint. The water-based formula is easy to use; it dries in 30 minutes, and you can add a second coat in just two hours.

6. Top it off with additional storage.

Short on space? Level up your kitchen by adding additional storage. While you might not be able to have a closet pantry like Ariana’s, you can replicate it with this pantry cabinet

The free-standing, multi-service home bar features two six-level shelves and one five-level compartment with four shelves that can be adjusted in three levels to meet your individual needs. The 47-inch display has a widened and weighted base to provide stability and durability for housing your kitchen necessities.

Is the 47-inch cabinet too big for your space? Eliminate the aforementioned white-marbled option and instead combine the two with this three-shelf spice rack and pantry that can host your everyday cooking essentials, plus enough room in the cabinet drawers to house your pots and pans. With easy wheels for mobility, we’re particularly smitten with the decent counter space; you can cook, eat, and entertain for a fraction of the price (and size) of the other options.

Achieve the same luxe-looking marble countertop with this self-adhesive removable wallpaper. This affordable hack is easy to apply and can easily cover the top of the kitchen pantry cabinet. Best of all, the pantry cart features a wide-enough base to paint dusty gray and even pull up a chair to eat at.
