Could it be that the tide has turned on Americans’ love of single-serve coffee pod machines?

If you look at the latest numbers from Keurig, makers of the K-Cup coffee systems, it certainly looks that way.

Not only have sales of the coffee machines been declining, but they’ve been declining faster and faster each quarter since last fall. This comes even with the introduction of the second generation of Keurig brewers that offered more than just single cups from the machine.

One of the biggest challenges with the new machine is that it no longer fits the old size of cups, and there is no refillable K-Cup option.

We’d love to see numbers on how the coffee pods themselves are selling as well to know if they’ve hit a decline or if it’s just new Keurig machines that are falling flat with consumers.

Do you use a coffee pod-based brewer? Tell us in the comments.
