Herby Lemony Chicken Thighs with Potatoes Is Spring In a Skillet
Someone recently pointed out that many of my recipes start with ‘Lemony’ to describe the predominant flavors of the recipe. After a moment of recalling some of my favorite dishes (I see you Lemony Brussels Sprouts Pasta), I realized that lemon does play a large role in most of them because I’m a big fan. Lemon adds acidity, brightness and freshness (and a bit of color when serving some on the side), plus I almost always have some in the house.

It Wouldn't Be Easter Without Grandma Grace's Cheesy Potatoes
When my now-husband, Matt, and I were dating I remember being a bit nervous walking into the family home where his grandmother Grace lived, but that didn’t last long. The small kitchen was hot from the oven being on all morning and every available surface was covered with a dish of some kind: platters of salami and cheese, bowls of chips and dip, aluminum foil pans piled high with meatballs and green beans and glazed ham. It immediately felt like home.

The Ultimate Bacon Cheeseburger
Growing up on the West Coast, I had two favorite burger chains. One was Carl’s Jr., the home of the Western Bacon Cheeseburger, a burger patty layered with cheese, bacon, bbq sauce, and onion rings. And of course there’s In-N-Out Burger, a chain known for its secret menu and for for using fresh ingredients. When I was creating this bacon cheeseburger I looked to both of those iconic burger joints for inspiration.

Spicy Sticky Lambchops Are the Easiest, Tastiest Easter Dinner
As with so many of my recipes, I stole this one from my mama. She made this dish for us once when we were on holiday in Lugano Switzerland, where we had rented a house. My mum bought lamb and made this recipe up on the spot. She whipped up a marinade for the lamb chops using some ketchup and other things, and I remember that we loved it. I literally remember licking my fingers and licking the lamb bones because it was so delicious.
