The One Pretty Thing Everyone Should Buy from Anthropologie This Season
Anthropologie crushes it around the holidays. Year after year, the brand comes up with the cutest, most giftable items. There are always super-adorable ornaments (many of which are food-themed), a new version of the store’s iconic monogrammed mugs, various cheese boards, and more. In fact, it’s totally possible to shop for everyone on your list in one fell swoop. (We know what you’re thinking and, yes, there are plenty of gifts for your dad!)
Some Kitchn staffers were talking about the new holiday items the other day when we realized we were all in agreement about the single best thing to buy this time of year: coupe glasses! Hear us out.
Anthropologie typically has a few interesting coupe glasses at any given time. Each one is more gorgeous than the last and, for the most part, they’re shockingly inexpensive. We all said we loved them as gifts — either for other people or for ourselves. Even people who don’t drink can use Anthro’s coupe glasses for fancy mocktails or, say, elevated candy dishes or parfait-like desserts.
Just check out some of these great offerings and you’ll see what we mean!
1. Waterfall Coupe Glass, $16
This pretty pink number just came out this week and we couldn’t wait to get our hands on it. We just love that slight ombré effect and the real 24-karat gold rim. If pink isn’t your thing and you can wait until December, you can get this glass — as a set of four — in a purple-blue tint.
2. Kellie Mini Coupe Glasses, $40 for four
These low-to-the-table glasses are practically impossible to knock over, which makes them great for clumsy folks or even more, um, boisterous get-togethers. The height also makes these especially good for non-drinking uses, like holding candy or nuts. Be sure to check out the blue-ish set, too.
3. Gilded Rim Coupe, $28
This beautiful glass won’t be available until January and is definitely on the more expensive side, but it just feels like the perfect new year treat for yourself. After all, it’s going to be cold out and you probably won’t be going out much, so you deserve to have something this nice at home. Right?
4. Samba Coupe Glass, $14
In a less traditional shape, this coupe glass could certainly be used for beer or even wine. It feels pretty Art Deco-y and it’s also available in a DOF glass.
What do you think? Do you love these glasses as much as we do? What are you currently buying or eyeing at Anthro?
