Allow us to get straight to the point: Amazon Prime Day is here, and the deals include lots of great bargains on knives. (See what we did there?) We carefully combed through all the options and pulled out the best knife sales we could find. Our final list includes a set of Zwilling knives for 75 percent off, the most perfect little paring knife for less than $10, and more. Let’s take a look.

Giada and Alex Guarnaschelli always say that the best paring knives are between $5 and $10. And we agree! (Mostly because these things are small and could easily end up getting tossed into the trash along with your scraps.) This one is usually $20 but is currently on sale for less than $10, which means you won't pay too much and you'll get a knife that's just a little better compared to its less expensive cousins. Try not to lose it, but know that it won't be a huge deal if you do.

Kai is one of the top names when it comes to Japanese knives, and the brand's Kai Luna line is meant to offer the same superior quality but at a more affordable price. And, right now, this set is on sale for less than $50. The set includes a 3.5-inch paring knife, a 4-inch citrus knife, a 6-inch utility knife, an 8-inch chef's knife, a honing steel, and a 6-slot knife block. Hello? Are you listening? Or are you too distracted by the shimmering knife blades? They've got a mirror polish on the upper part and a graze finish on the lower part; both features help the blades resist stain and corrosion. Oh, and the handles — if we can direct your attention down to the handles — have a soft, comfy grip. Note: Although we don't usually recommend knife sets, this one is a steal, and we really do think you'd use every single tool in the set. Even that citrus knife — especially if you've become an at-home bartender these last few months.

Mercer Culinary may be an unfamiliar brand to you, but it’s a staple for culinary students, so you know it’s good (and a good deal!). We strongly believe that their bread knife is the best one out there, but it's not on sale right now, so we wanted to call out this 9-inch chef's knife, which is also top of its class. Don't believe us? It's got a 4.8-star rating on Amazon (which is really hard to get!) and almost 4,000 5-star reviews!

A few Kitchn staffers use this knife on a nightly basis. Their report: It's just the right size (eight inches!), perfectly balanced, easy to maneuver, durable, and pretty to look at. The company says the knife is dishwasher-safe, but do yourself a favor and wash it by hand. You know, just to keep it in tip-top shape.

You're probably not traveling these days, but this traveler's set can still come in handy. It comes with everything you'd need to stock an empty kitchen or help you get by in an Airbnb (if you're, say, driving for a safe weekend getaway with your SO). Honestly, this kit is worth it for the come-apart shears (our favorite!), the paring knife, and the sharpener, alone!

Looking for a holiday gift for your favorite carnivore? Look no further than this set of steak knives, which is currently marked down by 75 percent (not a typo!). The knives (there are eight in the set) feature 4-inch, high-carbon stainless-steel serrated blades that will tear through the toughest cuts of meat. Send these straight to a loved one and maybe, just maybe, you'll get to go over for a steak dinner one night in 2021.
