Amazon’s Rug Sale Will Bring Style (& Function!) to Your Kitchen for Less than $20

While it’s no secret that we’re big fans of rugs in the kitchen, lots of our readers are a little more on the fence. And we totally get it: Most rugs can’t stand up to the splatters, spills, and foot traffic of a typical home kitchen.

If you are super fancy (or just brave), you can throw a one-of-a-kind vintage rug down; for the rest of us, though, something washable, non-slip, and durable is best. That’s why we were pumped to learn that Amazon is currently having a sale on durable indoor/outdoor rugs from Ottomanson, including a bunch that are great for kitchens.

The discounts vary, but in general most rugs are marked down between 10 to 20 percent. And because the whole line is designed with high-traffic areas in mind, they’re really great for putting in front of your stove or under a moveable island.

This rug looks a lot more expensive than it is, and, as a plus, the busy pattern will hide inevitable spills. The durable nylon material isn’t meant to machine-wash, but you can spot-treat and vacuum as needed.

Prefer something a bit more on the neutral side? This lattice rug comes in a variety of colors, from eye-popping pink to this more subdued grey.

This light pink is a daring choice for chronic spillers, but we love that it’s pale enough to make it almost neutral without looking too boring.

Sisal is a more earthy alternative to Persian rugs. This synthetic version also has a pattern that will help hide stains and make wear and tear less noticeable.
