Only 10 percent (or less, ideally!) of a dog’s total calorie requirements should come from treats or human food. Maybe you know that — but that doesn’t mean Sir Riggins does! And he’s always giving you those sad puppy dog eyes every time you open the fridge.

Instead of giving in and tossing him a piece of your waffle, why not give him one of these food-themed dog toys? They’re not exactly the same, but we’re guessing he won’t mind too much.

We scoured Amazon and these are the cutest food-themed dog toys we could find. (They’re also all super durable.) Your pup will give them two paws up.

1. Pet Craft Supply Doggie Drive Thru, $22 for three toys

No detail was overlooked when creating this value meal for pups. The “straw” on the drink is a rope for tugging, and other parts have crinkle features or squeakers.

2. P.L.A.Y. Garden Fresh Dog Toy Set, $41 for five toys

It doesn’t get much greener than this garden set; the pieces are made from 100 percent post-consumer recycled plastic bottles.

Practically a dead ringer for actual 12-ounce beer bottles, this one is clearly meant for dogs — as evidenced by the punny Heini Sniffin label.

Made of extra-durable material, this lobster is constructed to last. It also floats, too, which could come in handy when summer rolls around again.

We know, this isn’t food-shaped like the rest of the toys on this list, but it is flavored like bacon, so we think it counts. It can even be filled with your dog’s favorite treats if you’re really looking to keep him occupied.

Fun fact: Most dogs love carrots. Serve them raw or steamed — or in plush form. This squeaky toy can go in the washing machine when it starts to get dirty.

If you have to leave Fido home alone for a bit, try filling this rubber treat with kibble, canned dog food, peanut butter, or another treat. There are holes on the top and bottom of the can and it’ll take him a decent amount of time to get it all out.

Because cookies are better when dunked in milk, this toy features three adorable cookies (each with squeakers!) that get hidden inside their matching milk carton. Dogs get to dig them out all on their own.

No ID? No problem! This oh-so-punny squeaky toy is fun for pups of all ages. Not into tequila? The same company also makes Barkardi Rum, Dogs Equis Cerveza, Bonebay Sapphire, and more.

This three-piece set comes with a Starbarks coffee house, which holds two plush toys that squeak, crackle, and crinkle. While your pup tries to fish out the mugs, you can use the time to enjoy your own morning coffee.
