All Treats, No Tricks: Amazon Is Having a Sale on Candy
You might not think that buying tons of tiny candies can add up, but in October the cost of mini Snickers can actually run pretty high. Which is why this Amazon deal of the day is one to check out. Until 12 a.m. PT, you can get 25 percent (or more!) off select candy. They’re also all Prime-eligible, which means you could check one big item off your Halloween to-do list and have the candy on your doorstep as early as Thursday.
Most of the items on sale are bulk-sized buys (think: 250 pieces and up), making it a significant value over the drugstore prices. These are also all name-brand candies that we love — not the weird mystery candy you probably remember from the house on the street everyone skipped growing up.
And since it’s a limited-time deal, it’s also a lower price than you’ll find at box stores that sell in bulk, like Target. In fact, the only place we could find these treats similarly priced online was at BJs, which requires an annual membership fee. (Bonus: Buying in bulk means you hopefully get to save some for yourself for after October 31.)
Not expecting trick-or-treaters? There’s obviously nothing wrong with stocking up on Sour Patch Kids anyway, but there are a few more, ahem, practical options. Anyone working in an office or packing lunches might appreciate the deal on individually packaged Planter’s nuts. (Provided you don’t work in a peanut-free office, of course.) A bulk pack of Mentos gum is also included in the sale for anyone who always keeps a pack in their bag or desk drawer.
And finally there’s the ever-divisive candy corn. What are you going to do with 2.5 pounds of the harvest-themed treat? If you really love it, the answer might be obvious (devour it with surprising speed), but if you’re one of those people who just don’t get the appeal, I say just this: more for the rest of us.
