In honor of the approaching back-to-school season, we’ve been talking a lot about snacks lately (both on the site and amongst ourselves). Not surprisingly, it turns out that lots of us Kitchn editors have been stocking up on Amazon. Here’s what we’ve been buying lately.

1. RXBAR Kids, $17 for 16 bars

“I originally thought I didn’t like RXBARS, but it turns out I just didn’t like the full-sized ones. (I call them date bricks — so much chewing!) These kids’ PB&J bars are smaller, obviously, and also don’t contain sea salt as an added ingredient, like their adult version (Peanut Butter & Berries) does.” — Lauren Kodiak, Managing Editor

2. Wickedly Prime Organic Olive Oil Popcorn, $13 for four, eight-ounce bags

“Whether I’m headed to a nearby beach or catching a flight home, I feel like I’m constantly on the go in the summer. This air-popped popcorn is my go-to snack to stash in my travel bag. (Call me crazy, but I’ll always choose lightly salted olive oil popcorn over cheesy or caramel.) I’m pretty hooked now, so I’ll definitely be buying more of these bags once fall comes.” — Grace Elkus, Senior Food Editor

3. CLIF KID ZBAR, $10 for 18 bars

“I get that these are basically glorified candy bars, but it’s all about balance, right? My chocolate-hating kids prefer the iced oatmeal cookie option, so I get them on Amazon instead of Costco, where they’re sold in a chocolate-heavy variety pack.” Patty Catalano, Contributor

4. Biena Chickpea Snacks, $20 for nine pouches

“These are one of our favorite lunch box snacks that I just found out I could buy in individual packs. Bonus: My kids have different favorite flavors, so there’s no arguing over who gets the Rockin’ Ranch or Honey Roasted.” — Meghan Splawn, Associate Food Editor

5. Bare Natural Banana Chips, $23 for six pouches

“Bare Banana Chips are so sweet and crunchy and the only ingredient is BANANAS.” Patty Catalano, Contributor

“I love me a good, candied nut! And while I usually don’t like coconut, I actually enjoy it in this situation. The cashews are rich, buttery, crunchy, and a total treat. I mix some into my morning yogurt or eat them plain by the handful.” — Lisa Freedman, Lifestyle Director

7. Stacy’s Cheese Petites, $15 for two pouches

“We had these in the office the other day and now I’m addicted. I’ll admit, they’re kind of pricey, but I’m definitely ordering a few bags just so I have an excuse to host my friends for wine and fancy cheese crackers.” — Lauren Masur, Staff Writer
