Although we’ve grown accustomed to buying almost everything on Amazon (especially these days), there’s one section of their site we’d almost forgotten about until recently: the booze! Amazon has an entire storefront dedicated to a selection of alcohol and mixers from top brands, as well as a ton of non-alcoholic libations that can be hard to find elsewhere. And like all things Amazon, there’s free shipping for Prime members, with delivery being as quick as two hours(!) depending on the product and your location.

If you’ve browsed Amazon’s selection of alcohol and mixers before, it’s worth a fresh look. They’ve quietly been adding new libations, from Mindful Margaritas to a great everyday Chardonnay. Besides stocking most major brands, they also have all the beer and wine your local Whole Foods carries, and you can get it with free, fast delivery! And it’s definitely worth checking out the Under $10 section, which includes some of our favorite mixers like Spindrift Sparkling Water and this very highly rated Bloody Mary Seasoning that’ll be perfect to serve at your next socially distant BBQ.

Amazon’s alcohol department also really shines when it comes to fancy bitters and other bar essentials. If you’ve been perfecting your mixology skills at home lately, you’ll be happy to find items like classic Angostura Orange Bitters for making the perfect Old Fashioned as well as artisan mixers like this one from Bittermilk in Charleston, South Carolina.

The big selling point, of course, is that everything gets delivered right to your door. Do keep in mind that you’ll have to be home to accept the delivery (not a big problem for most of us right now), since an ID check is required for any alcoholic beverages. Also, local laws may limit the number of libations you’ll find on Amazon in some areas. Even if that’s the case, their selection of mixers and non-alcoholic wine, beer, spirits and mixers is definitely worth a look.

If you’re not an Amazon Prime member yet, this is a prime (hah!) time to try it out. You can sign up for a free trial to get free shipping on all your bar essentials and enjoy all the other benefits Prime has to offer. The storefront is also open for non-Prime members, but longer delivery times are the only hitch.

Now that you’ve figured how to stock your bar without stepping out your front door, it’s time to send out the invites for your next Zoom happy hour!
