If you've pored over every episode of Good Eats, celebrity chef Alton Brown could be making your dreams come true. The Georgia native announced over Twitter that he would like to see Marietta have a spiffy new coffee shop, and he might know just the fellow to do it.
Brown later confirmed to Eater, "It is my intention to open a coffee shop in Marietta, Ga., though I'm not at a point where I can release any details [...] I can tell you this — no, no, I've said too much already."
Food Network fans and food-lovers everywhere: Commence mass squeal of joyous anticipation.
This isn't the only project Alton Brown has in the works. Late last year on Facebook Live, Brown announced that he's bringing some rendition of Good Eats back — called "A Cooking Show" — which will be available online. He also talked about potentially doing a late-night variety show and writing a weight-loss book. Let's just say the man is very busy right now and probably just really needs a good cup of coffee.
