A new month means a whole new roster of movies and TV shows to stream on Netflix, HBO, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. Going out on a Saturday night is nice, but snuggling up in bed with the TV and your favorite snack might be even better. (I’m all about this classic snack this month.) Don’t know where to start? Here are all the great food movies and TV shows to stream this month. While there aren’t a ton of food-related movies coming out in May, there are definitely a few that you need to watch.

Coming to Netflix

May 1

  • Chocolat

This classic food movie is truly a gem and if you haven’t seen it yet, then this is the month to do so. Chocolat follows Vianne and her daughter who open up a magical chocolate shop in a small French town, much to the chagrin of the town’s mayor. There’s romance and chocolate — what more do you want?

  • Decanted

This documentary follows the development of Italics Winegrowers, a new winery in Napa Valley.

May 12

  • Master of None, Season 2

While this TV show isn’t explicitly about food, there promises to be a ton of food moments in this season if it’s anything like last season. Bring on the pasta, please.

May 21

  • What’s With Wheat

This movie follows the rise of gluten intolerance, and why after so many years of consuming it we suddenly face more health problems than ever.

Coming to Hulu

May 20

  • Bakery in Brooklyn

A young woman inherits a bakery from her aunt, and she (alongside her cousin) must save it from closing.

Coming to HBO

Nothing this month.

Coming to Amazon Prime

Nothing this month.
