This tiny cottage guest house in Fairfax, California is big on happy, bright, vintage style. The cottage itself is only 320 square feet, but it has high ceilings which make it feel a lot more open—and enable a sleeping loft! It’s beneath that sleeping loft that you’ll find the tiny kitchen, decked out with vintage dishes and energy-efficient appliances.

As owner Alisha tells Apartment Therapy in this 2010 House Tour, her style can be defined as “buttoned-up east coast prepster meets flip-flop Cali girl.” Her husband Graham offers “form, function and an eye for classic style,” while Alisha provides “a casual spontaneity, sprinkles of seashells and the colors of sunny skies over turquoise seas.” All of that is certainly in display in this charming cottage kitchen!
