Aldi Is Going to Have Wine and Cheese Advent Calendars — And You’re Going to Want to See Them
If you like wine and/or Aldi, you may remember last year when we reported on Aldi’s wine-filled advent calendar for the holiday season. It was announced last September and our readers were so excited! There was just one problem: It was only available in the U.K. — and most (but not all!) of our readers are in the United States.
This year (this year!), things will be different. Not only will the wine advent calendar be available in the United States stores — where the law allows alcohol to be sold in supermarkets — but there will also be a cheese advent calendar!
We got a sneak peek of both. And that means you get a sneak peek, too!
A Sneak Peek at Aldi’s Wine Advent Calendar
Is there a better way to count down to the holiday? We love the super-festive box and, based on the portfolio of Aldi’s award-winning wines, we’re guessing we’ll love the stuff that’s on the inside too. The wine advent calendar will cost $69.99 and hold 24 mini bottles of wine — including red, white, rosé, and bubbles.
The wine calendar officially hits stores on November 7, and Aldi predicts it will sell out quickly! So you might want to do your holiday shopping a bit earlier than you usually would (if you want one of these, that is).
And Introducing Aldi’s Cheese Advent Calendar
This cheese calendar also hits stores on November 7. But it’s only $12.99, so it’s a lot more budget-friendly, making it a great hostess gift. Instead of 24 wines, the flaps open up to reveal 24 imported mini cheeses — including cheddar, Gouda, Edam, and more. It will also probably sell out quickly!
What do you think? Are you more excited for the wine or the cheese? Would you open them all at once or just one at a time?
