Aldi Just Leaked Info on Dozens of New Products Hitting Shelves This Summer — Here’s What We’re Most Excited About
As if we weren’t excited enough for summer to get here, we met with Aldi execs late last week to get a sneak peek of some of their upcoming groceries. Already? Well, now we’re just champing at the bit even more! (Fun fact: It’s champing and not chomping!) The discount grocery store has plans for all sorts of groceries to enjoy at the beach, poolside, while camping, on a picnic, and during a backyard cookout. The list includes so many different kinds of ice creams, ready-to grill meats, dips, chips, snacks, and more. There’s even a $95 grill on the list of upcoming products!
We combed through the offerings and these are the ones we can’t wait to try.
1. Vista Bay Hard Seltzer Lemonade, $11.99 for 12
Want to elevate your hard seltzer game? Check out these hard seltzer lemonades, which come in four flavors: Original, Mango, Black Cherry, and Strawberry. We got to sample all four and the Black Cherry made us very nostalgic for Lip Smackers! These hit stores this week on the 14th.
2. Specially Selected Everything Brioche Buns, $2.49 for 8.8 ounces
The regular brioche buns are one of the key ingredients needed to make a copycat Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich, so we already know that we’re fans of these buns. The added everything seasoning could only make these even better.
3. Sundae Shoppe Orange Cream Bars, $2.39 for 12 pops
Vanilla ice cream in an orange sherbet shell? Yes, please. There’s also a Raspberry Cream version coming soon as well.
4. The Grill Master Collection, $59.99
Before you balk at the price tag, you should know that this box contains 7.37 pounds of meat. Inside is an assortment of Kansas City strip steaks, sirloin steaks, burgers, pork chops, chicken breasts, and more.
5. Belmont Cookies & Cream Dessert Bars, $4.49 for 10 ounces
Keep these cheesecake squares in the freezer and you always have a super indulgent dessert at the ready.
6. Beach Colada, $6.99
Aldi has carved out a little niche for itself in terms of bottled wine cocktails, mimosas, and more. This Beach Colada is all mixed and ready to be served. Just make sure it’s super cold and/or served over ice.
7. Baker’s Corner Funnel Cake Kit, $2.69
Making funnel cake at home couldn’t be easier, thanks to this kit. You just have to add water and mix up the batter. It all comes in an easy-to-pour container to help, well, contain messes.
8. Cattleman’s Ranch Sriracha Style Seasoned & Cheddar Beef Patties, $7.49 for 6 patties
Want to spice up your backyard cookout? Try these pre-seasoned patties. Aldi is also coming out with a Hatch Chile & Provolone option too.
9. Kirkwood Mediterranean Style Chicken Breast Kabobs, $4.99 for 16 ounces
Remember that copycat Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich we mentioned earlier? Another key ingredient is a bag of Kirkwood chicken (aka, Red Bag Chicken), so we already know and love this brand. Meaning: If they want to make chicken kabobs, we want to buy them.
10. Everything Goat’s Milk Cheese, $3.59 for 8 ounces
More everything! This log of goat cheese would be a good thing to bring along on a picnic.
11. Park Street Deli Romesco Dip, $2.89 for 8 ounces
We love a good dip in the summer, as it encourages us to eat more of that fresh, local produce. This dip is vegan and would pair nicely with some sliced-up red peppers or cucumbers.
12. Benton’s S’mores Crèmes, $1.95 for 15.25 ounces
All the taste of s’mores, none of the hassle of building a fire. Of course, if you do find yourself around a fire, these would be a good stand-in for graham crackers!
13. Clancy’s Nashville Hot Chicken-Flavored Kettle Chips, $1.89 for 8 ounces
We’ll try any chip that Clancy’s makes. That includes the upcoming Krinkle Cut Pulled Pork Kettle Chips and the Cuban Sandwich Kettle Chips. Which of these three are you most excited to try?
14. Wicked Grove Pearsecco, $6.99
Fact: Anything remotely punny is going to make it onto our shopping list. Punny name aside, this dry cider made with pears is genuinely intriguing.
15. Summer Waves Giant Unicorn Sprinkler, $39.99
We know this is technically not a grocery item, but we just couldn’t help ourselves. This unicorn is a giant sprinkler that kids can run under! There will also be a dinosaur version. Need we say more?
