Aldi’s Newest Holiday Cookie Has Shoppers Buying 2 Packs at a Time

With Thanksgiving behind us, it’s officially time to dive into the December holidays — and of course, one of the month’s many highlights is the food. While there are countless popular seasonal delicacies to satisfy your sweet tooth this time of year, peppermint candy canes are certainly one of the most iconic. If you’re also a chocolate lover, you might want to head over to Aldi and pick up their mouth-watering new cookies: limited-edition candy cane chocolate sandwich cremes, which feature double candy cane filling in between two chocolate sandwich cookies. 

Instagram content creator Ashley (@ohheyaldi) spotlighted the Aldi find in a recent post, writing, “Peace out pumpkin spice, peppermint is the new seasonal girl in town ✌️❤️🤍.”

Based on shoppers’ comments, these seasonal confections are well worth adding to your shopping list.

“Picked up the peppermint cremes and omgggggg they are good 🤤,” one Instagram user wrote.

“I just had 1 of those peppermint crème cookies!” another wrote. “Just one, I swear. The self-control is unreal 😮.”

Aldi’s peppermint candy cane creme cookies aren’t the only festive cookies that the grocery store chain is rolling out this year. You can also grab a bag of holiday sandwich cremes (which retail for $2.65 and feature red-colored vanilla filling) and holiday wafer rolls ($7.69), to name a few other examples. On the peppermint front, keep your eyes peeled for Aldi’s hot cocoa cup sampler pack ($7.99), which comes with six peppermint drink cups, and the store’s peppermint pretzel stars ($3.29).

Thanks to the recent launch of Aldi’s new online shopping website, you don’t even have to scour your local Aldi’s aisles to find this sweet treat! The candy cane chocolate sandwich cremes are also available to order for pickup at or delivery from your local Aldi store while supplies last.
