Aldi’s New Keto (Zero-Net-Carb) Bread Is So Hard to Find, People Are Selling It on eBay
I’ve been obsessed with Aldi for many years now, and every once in a while I’ve seen the discount grocery chain come out with something that’s so great, the internet loses its collective mind. (The wine and cheese advent calendars, for example. Also, the award-winning $8 bottle of rosé wine.) And now there’s bread.
Not just any bread. L’Oven Fresh bread that has zero net carbs and is keto-friendly. The bread comes in whole-wheat and multi-seed. To call it an internet sensation would be putting it lightly.
Over the last few days, this bread has been taking over Instagram and Facebook, with shoppers saying that it’s the best sandwich bread they’ve had since starting keto. The trouble, though, is that it’s proving very hard to find! Lots of people on social media are saying that they can’t get their hands on a single loaf. Some Kitchn staffers went looking for it (we wanted to try it in order to confirm or deny its deliciousness!) and came up empty. We spoke to some store employees who said that customers keep asking for it and that other stores have even been calling around to see who’s got it. (For what it’s worth, we have seen it on eBay!)
Some commenters have said they think it’s a special Aldi Find and that you should look for it in the aisle with the Finds and not with the rest of the breads. Our Aldi contacts (yes, we write about Aldi so much that we have Aldi contacts!), promise they’re going to get back to us soon with more info. We’ll update this post then, so stay tuned!
Have you seen this bread? If so, did you try it? What’d you think? Tell us everything!
