Aldi’s New $5 California Wines Are Finally Here and You’ll Want to Buy (At Least) 3 Bottles
One of the reasons we love Aldi most, besides just their stellar product selection, are the chain’s unbeatable prices for everything from groceries to home decor and household staples. However, while we typically think of a grocer like Trader Joe’s when it comes to inexpensive wine, Aldi has proven that their own selections also fit the mold by being both delicious and budget-friendly. (And potentially even better than Trader Joe’s, but we’ll let you decide that for yourself after you drink through our favorite wines of 2023.)
Last fall, Aldi impressed the editors at The Kitchn with their new wine collection that embodied wine from all over the world, and lucky for us, the grocer is now releasing another collection hitting stores today. And the best part? They’re all under $5, so you can taste each one to find a favorite without breaking the bank. If you’re on the hunt for the best grocery wine, you may want to give these a try.
The newly dropped California Heritage collection features nine bottles, all for $4.95 each. As California is the heart of wine country, some bottles can come at a pretty high price. Luckily, Aldi has made some of the best California wines affordable for all.
The selection includes a variety of popular grapes, including Pinot Noir, Merlot, and Chardonnay, available all year so there will be something for whatever you’re in the mood for. Here’s the full list of what’s hitting the shelves today:
- California Heritage Cabernet Sauvignon, $4.95
- California Heritage Merlot, $4.95
- California Heritage Pinot Noir, $4.95
- California Heritage Chardonnay, $4.95
- California Heritage Moscato, $4.95
- California Heritage Pink Moscato, $4.95
- California Heritage Sweet Red, $4.95
- California Heritage Brut Sparkling, $4.95

If you’re a wine lover, you’re definitely going to want to give these a try — and then stock up so you can bring them to your next dinner party.
