Aldi Just Leaked All Its New September Grocery Items, and I’m Absolutely Buying These 5

Feeling the crisp autumn chill yet? Yeah, me neither. It’s still scorching hot here in New York City (and across much of the country), but Aldi’s got me dreaming of pumpkin spice and cozy sweaters because its latest grocery lineup is all about fall! 

Even though the autumn equinox isn’t until September 22, a sneak peek at Aldi’s September releases has me all-in on cooler weather. I’m talking about new cinnamon-y baked goods, pumpkin-spiced everything, and even a few seasonal savory picks. With so many new (and returning) groceries making their way to Aldi shelves next month, these are the five that I’m most excited about.

1. Sundae Shoppe Pumpkin Spice Ice Cream, $2.29

Pumpkin is practically the fall flavor mascot, so it’s only right that Aldi is rolling out pumpkin spice-flavored ice cream this September. Bonus: It’s also available in Cinnamon Apple! Both flavors are available in the freezer section September 4.

2. Bake Shop Apple Cider Donuts, $3.29

Pumpkin might be the star of fall, but to me, the season doesn’t really begin until I’ve had an apple cider donut. I can’t explain why. They are cakey, full of cinnamon-sugar goodness, and have just enough apple flavor to taste like how leaf peeping feels. They’ll be gracing shelves September 6.

3. Simply Nature Organic Chicken Sausage Cranberry Sage, $4.99

These chicken sausages, available in Harvest Apple or Cranberry Sage, are just what you need to whip up a fuss-free dinner in no time. They’re ideal for a cozy, seasonal meal that’s festive without going overboard on the warm spices. Snag a pack September 18.

4. Reggano Fall Shaped Pasta, $2.49

I love unique pasta shapes. They just make food taste better. I know they really aren’t contributing too much to the flavor and, sure, they’re a novelty, but who cares? They’re just more fun! As soon as this leaf-shaped pasta hits stores September 4, I’m going to be making all kinds of fall-inspired meals this season, starting with butternut squash mac and cheese.

5. Specially Selected Apple Cinnamon Brioche Ring, $5.29

Don’t be mistaken: Although it’s in the number-five spot, this Apple Cinnamon Brioche Ring is my top pick for the month. Imagine this beauty gracing your weekend brunch table … the crowd will go wild! With its blend of apple and cinnamon nestled between fluffy brioche, this ring is set to be the star of any autumn gatherings you have on the calendar. Speaking of, you’ll find it in stores September 4.
