If you're not familiar with the term "Aldi Finds," allow us to explain: Every Wednesday, the store brings new products into rotation for a limited time. And they're called, you guessed it, Aldi Finds. These special products can be anything from frozen pizzas with fun toppings, to drawer organizers, and even chainsaws.
The brand has lots of great finds coming up between now and the holidays (for gifting and entertaining!), so we thought we'd start highlighting a few of our favorites each month. We're more than halfway through October, but there's still lots of great stuff coming out.
Here's what we're most excited about for the month of October.
1. Crofton Cast Iron 6-Quart Dutch Oven, $30
This Dutch oven looks and feels just like the (way) more expensive name-brand pots. (It's seriously heavy and even has those dimples on the inside of the lid to help with moisture redistribution.) The only discernible difference? The price! It'll be available in gray and red, starting October 24.
2. Ambiano 7-Quart Slow Cooker, $20
A 6-quart slow cooker will cost you around $25, but this is slightly larger and even less expensive. The small appliance is basic — with settings just for low, high, and warm — but it gets the job done. We had mulled wine out of it during a recent Aldi event for media and found it to be the perfect temperature. Look for it in stores starting on October 31.
3. Belmont Blackberry or Peach Cobblecakes, $6 each
What's a cobblecake? Good question. It's a dessert that's part creamy cheesecake and part fruity cobbler. And completely delicious. It's rich! It's fruity! It's best when served warm! We got a bite of each and couldn't pick a winner of the two. They'll hit stores on October 24.
4. Specially Selected Gourmet Macaroni & Cheese Assorted Varieties, $2
We sadly didn't get to try these in advance, but we're super excited about them. We love Aldi's Specially Selected brand (especially the cheese!) so we can't see how this could possibly go wrong. Starting on October 30, stores will have mac and cheese options featuring truffle, pesto, or sun-dried tomato with mascarpone.
5. Specially Selected Red Berries or Cheese Brioche, $4
The photo above is obviously a Christmas item (Brioche shaped like a tree!), and the brioche hitting stores on October 31 is shaped like a traditional loaf, but the recipes are similar. Aldi's brioche is sweet, fluffy, and has a perfect stuff-to-bread ratio. Look for this tree-shaped option (in Chocolate Chip or Vanilla Cream) on November 27.
